Tuesday Nights – Growth Nights

Tuesday nights are ‘growth nights’ in the parish when, through the study of God’s Word, we attempt to grow in our faith. This Autumn/Winter we will be running two courses simultaneously in the Church Hall and in the Hilden Centre.

The two courses are ‘Keeping Faith in Babylon’ and ‘Knowing God’

‘Keeping Faith in Babylon’ will be in the form of a series of illustrated addresses on what it really means to be faithful disciples in today’s society. Is the Christian Church in danger of extinction in a multi-faith/no-faith society? How can we, as professing Christians, be part of today’s culture yet ‘keep the faith’?

‘Knowing God’ will be presented through group study and discussion and seek to under-gird our understanding of the true nature of God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Both courses will begin on Tuesday 26 th September and run for nine weeks – ‘Keeping Faith in Babylon’ in the Church Hall and ‘Knowing God’ in the Hilden Centre.

After Christmas the same courses will run again with ‘Knowing God’ in Lambeg and ‘Keeping Faith in Babylon’ in Hilden, so that parishioners will have the opportunity to attend both courses in whichever venue is most suitable for them.

Everyone is warmly invited to come along to these evenings – to join in any discussion or to just listen.

What is important for all of us is that we grow in our relationship with God, feel His hand upon our lives, and learn to respond to His leading in lives that reflect His will and purpose for us. There we find peace and fulfilment and our true destiny – even in a society that is largely turning its back on God.
